1964 Series 4700 Riviera

Production Series 4700 1964 Buick saw little need for change. A new standup hood ornament and revised riviera scripts on the front fenders and right hand deck were the major changes.

The 1964 Riviera Series 4700 I.D. Numbers- Serial numbers began with 7k( )001001.

*Notes: 1964) the parking lights stayed on when the low beam headlights were on but not when the high beams were engaged (this was standard not an option). The instrument controls were moved to the consol in '64 & '65 from being mounted underneath the dash pad on the '63. All '64 Rivieras had the ribbed aluminum dash covering. map light above the glove box. Padded vinyl covering below the glove box. did not have a vinyl roof option. Only 1965 Rivs buyers could order this option from the factory. Three speed transmission but only listed low and Drive. 1964 and 1965 had a place for a front and a rear speaker. 2 1/2" exhaust pipes instead of 2" and a slightly lowered suspension was offered with the duel carb option.
